The world is going nuts on ‘Sheila Ki Jawani’ and this also includes the team that made the movie Tees Maar Khan. The cast of the film are currently on a tour of India to promote the movie, there is huge buzz and excitement that one can sense in the curiosity around the film which is tipped to take a huge opening at the box office. 

The film marks the return of the star AKshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif as a couple after their last movie ‘Singh is Kingg’. Yes, they were seen together in DE DANA DAN as well but there was hardly any screen time that they shared. This means that as a quintessential hero-heroine ‘jodi’, it is indeed a reunion of sorts for Akshay and Katrina here.

Akshay says, “I am proud to say as a producer and co-star that this movie couldn’t have been complete without Katrina. She just grows with every opportunity that she is given. What is really amazing is the fact that she has played an ‘Item Girl’ like never before. She has always been great to share a screen with.”

Given the success record that the duo has shared, one can well believe Akshay here. After all films like WELCOME and NAMASTEY LONDON are a testimony to that. “Well she annoys the hell out of me but I wouldn’t want it any other way”, adds Akshay on a lighter note, “I always look forward to our yearly movie together.”

Akki is the brave macho man of Bollywood but he seems to be intimidated by bossy Farah Khan.

“There is not too much difference between Farah Khan as director and Farah Khan as choreographer. What she wants in dancing, that’s exactly what she wants from an actor in scenes also. Whatever she wants, she will get it,” Akshay told reporters.

“She is very bossy and lot of men are quite scared of her,” he chuckled.

Farah has succeeded as a director so far with her “Main Hoon Naa” and “Om Shanti Om” turning blockbuster hits.

The action comedy “Tees Maar Khan”, directed by Farah, is slated to release Dec 24 and has already hit the headlines for its sizzling item song “Sheila Ki Jawani” lipped by actress Katrina Kaif.

Akshay is also a producer on the film and is all praises for Farah Khan.

“I am just there as a producer, that’s it. Farah and her husband Shirish tackle the whole production work because I can’t do it along with acting,” said Akshay, who was in Kolkata with Katrina for the promotion of the movie.

Asked whether he is under pressure regarding the film’s success as two earlier movies directed by Farah were superhits, the ‘Khiladi’ of Bollywood said the pressure was on Farah.

“Pressure is not on me. Pressure is on Farah because two of her earlier films were superhit. Now she has to deliver in this movie,” the actor said.

The movie revolves around Tarbez Mirza Khan - a criminal played by Akshay who gets the job of robbing antiques worth Rs.500 crore from a heavily guarded moving train - and his girlfriend Anya, played by Katrina.

Buzz has it that Katrina has dropped clothes for sizzling item number - ‘Sheila Ki Jawani’, where she oozes with raw sex appeal in a white satin sheet for the same. Well, it’s a feat which no other director can boast off except Farah Khan, who brings a never seen side of Katrina Kaif on the silver screen.

Farah said, “‘Sheila Ki Jawani’ was supposed to be a raunchy item Bhojpuri kind of song as Katrina`s a wannabe actress acting in sleazy films but the song shaped out to be classy and a mix between Chicago and Broadway. I have never seen Katrina looking both hot and sensuous at the same time. In her earlier films, she`s dressed mostly like a Barbie doll.”

Regarding the subject of Katrina’s apprehension for the item number, Farah said, “Katrina really trusted me and didn`t argue even once when I told her what shehad to wear. She just told me that she needs to start working out and tone her body more. I never told Katrina to lose weight. We shot ‘Sheila Ki Jawani’ in five days and every day we had a new set and new costumes.

For the satin bed sheet, we had a 10 feet rotating bed with the men around her. She would shoot with us and then go and work out at 11.30 pm so that her abs would be toned. Her dedication is tremendous. She didn`t feel awkward with so many men around. The more they screamed and cheered for her, the more she got a high and her energy levels increased.”

Diva Katrina Kaif has been a given a lot of different names through out her budding career. The latest is on the sets of Farah Khan’s “Tees Maar Khan”. She is named as “Hurricane Katrina” by the movie team. The movie is being shot in Malshej Ghat a very popular tourist spot where at times that are sudden gusts of wind. During the wind storm the team would scream “Hurricane Katrina” and tease the 24-year-old actress.

“Malshej Ghat has these common wind storms and they are pretty strong since they have the strength to blow things off the set. At such times when the shooting would come to a halt the team would gang up and tease Katrina about it,” sources said.

“We shared a couple of laughs on the sets during the wind storm,” the source added.
