Katrina Kaif’s new role in ‘Rajneeti’ is the talk of the
town. He de-glam look in a sari has left the audience abuzz and waiting for the
movies release.
She said, “I went to Prakash Jha’s
office thinking that I might say no to the role. But when he narrated my
character and the script, he was definitely able to convince me. Though I
mostly enjoy doing fun, romance filled commercial films, after hearing the
script I decided not to be prejudiced about it and give it a try. It is nothing
like breaking a mould but I am an actor and performing varied roles makes me
feel excited.”
When asked about marriage then she
says, “Yes, I am very friendly to the Khan family. I think I may have just
dreamt that I will be getting married to Salman in two years and hence said
that. But well, on a serious note, marriage will happen, but when, that is yet
not decided.”
When asked about the kinda
relationship she shares with peers, she replied, “Truly speaking, we share a
very tight space while working together but we do exchange conversations. I do
not have very close friendship with anyone as such. I know Preity Zinta, I have
met Priyanka (Chopra) once at Yash Raj Films and we did discuss a few things. I
have shared quite some good moments with Kareena Kapoor. I do not believe in
making foes. So it’s very simple, I do not have any differences with any of my
peers.”
Even the Rai – Bachan combination were not able to make it – Katrina and
Salman were named the ‘Hottest Bollywood couple of the decade’. Of the total
38,000 in an online poll Salman – Katrina 36 percent of the total votes, Abhi –
Aish were only able to grab 27 percent, John – Bipasha scored only 13 percent. The
most surprising number was 6 percent for Saif – Kareena.
The other categories such as ‘Hottest liplock of the decade’ and superstar
of the decade were also put up as a poll.
Emraan and Mallika as usual topped on the rank of the ‘Hottest liplock of
the decade’ with a total of 39 percent of the votes for their famous kissing
scenes in ‘Murder’.
Suprisingly, ‘Ram Gopal Verma Ki Aag’ and Sci-fi movie ‘Drona’ were named as
the worst films with a total of 48 percent of the votes.
Salman Khan is bollywood’s chic superstar. He does everything in his own
style and then refrains to make big news of it.
Recently Salman was scheduled to make a business trip on a private charter.
When he arrived at the air strip lo and behold there were 3 planes waiting to
fly Sallu to his desired destination.
Khan loves private charters since he can light up his favorite cigarettes
mid air! Khan hates it when he is not allowed to light up his smokes.
Zarine Khan is always all
praises for Salman Khan. She made her debut opposite Salman in Veer. She says
that she owes a lot to the star and call him her mentor. “I am here because of
Salman Khan. He is my mentor who discovered me and gave me my first Bollywood
break. He has always been very supportive and I owe a lot to him,” said Zarine.
“I never thought that I would become an actress. I wanted to become a doctor,
but destiny had something else in store for me. I am happy with the way my life
is shaping up,” she added.
She was said to be a
Katrina look alike. “It’s fair enough if people compare me to her (Katrina).
She is a beautiful woman and I take the compliment in a positive manner.
Frankly speaking, after Veer, people have started recognising me as Zarine
Khan,”Zarine said.
“Talks are on for my next
film, but nothing has been confirmed as of now. Will let you know whenever it
happens. Also, I want to work in a movie that gives me scope to perform. I
don’t want to run around trees,” explained Zarine.
Any actors she wishes to
work with, “Oh, I am so new in the industry and all these actors you want me to
name have been in the industry for a long time now. So I would like to work
with all of them because there will be so much to learn from everybody,” she
said.
According to Zarine, the
journey so far has been interesting and she is liking every bit of attention.
