The act came just days after Salman registered in the donor registry.

Salman was joined by his brother Arbaaz in the noble deed. Confirming the news, Dr. Sunil Parekh who is on the board of MDRI said, “The people suffering from disease and I thank Salman Khan for coming forward and taking up our cause. Four years ago, Salman had read about Pooja, a little girl who was in need of bone marrow transplant. He got his entire football team to come and donate marrow. Unfortunately, they all backed out last minute, and only Salman and Arbaaz landed up donating and became the first donors”.

Talking about government, Dr Parekh said, “We made a foolish mistake to depend on the government in 2004. We didn`t get the right help…”

Addressing the problems that make bone marrow donation a problem in India, Salman said, “We have only 5000 donors currently. It`s not merely the lack of awareness; it`s our attitude that`s also the problem. And this will make us responsible for patients` lives. Donate marrow and save a life. It`s just like a blood test and doesn`t take time. I know some people are scared of blood tests, too… but it`s time to become a little brave and make a big difference.”

Sources confirmed that Rajkumar Santoshi and Aamir were playing with the idea of a sequel but were not convinced with the story. However, they have finally agreed in on an idea that will justify the sequel and do justice to the current image of the superstars.

A source said, “When Aamir met Santoshi, he told the director that he has shunned sequels so far. But as Andaz Apna Apna is special, they have been discussing various ideas and have zeroed-in on an idea they like. It was Salman who suggested to Aamir that they come together for the sequel. Both the superstars are very close to Santoshi (Salman did a cameo for Santoshi`s ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’) and Aamir has been in talks with Santoshi for several projects) and they`ve decided to go for the sequel full-throttle.”

When Rajkumar Santoshi was contacted, he admitted that he recently met Aamir to discuss about the sequel. He said, “It`s amazing how much interest there is in ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ after so many years. My movie ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’ was a tribute to the spirit of that movie. Aamir, Salman and I are really looking forward to coming together again.”

Salman is known to have a big heart than his muscles is doing an item number in Farah Khan’s release “Tees Maar Khan”. He is also doing a special appearance in Rajshri’s next “Isi Life Mein”, which will introduce fresh faces like Akshay Oberoi and Sandeepa Dhar to the silver screen where Mohnish Bahl and Aditya Raj Kapoor play important roles.

Nothing is disclosed about Salman’s role in the film but sources confirm that Salman will be having a special appearance in the film as Salman respects Rajshris who gave him his first super duper hit ‘Maine Pyaar Kiya’ which made him the overnight star and its now 25 years, the actor still rules.

But this piece of news will set the gossip mongers right. Salman is all set to be back in a Rajshri productions. The film is Vidhai Kasliwal’s directorial venture “Isi Life Mein”. It is said that Salman will be doing a cameo in the film, thanks to none other than Sooraj Barjatya. A source said, “Yes, Salman is doing the film Isi Life Mein; however it’s only a cameo role that he will essay in it.”

The film, which is being produced by the Barjatyas, Rajkumar and Ajit Kumar Barjatya stars Akshay Oberoi and Sandeepa Dhar in lead roles. The film is about the lives of two teenagers in today’s world and their belief that one not only has the right to dream but also the capability to accomplish all their dreams.

Even though Salman’s entire clan was present at a special screening of “Anjaana Anjaani”, the actor stayed away on the pretext of prior professional engagements. However, insiders state that Salman is much too annoyed with the daily gossip about Ranbir taking a close interest in Katrina.

What has made matters worse is the recent interview by Deepika Padukone, who hinted that Ranbir had cheated on her with one of his co-stars. And going by the buzz, it was none other than Katrina Kaif who had caused a rift in Ranbir and Dips’ love abode.

A source said, “Though Salman is very close to producer Sajid Nadiadwala, in this case, friendship was far exceeded by his anger at the rumours linking Katrina with Ranbir. So while Salman was happy that Sajid could release his film in spite of the political stress, he chose to stay away.”
