The Kajol – Kareena starrer “We Are
Family” is ready for release during Eid in September. Publicity king Karan
Johar is already planning for the films promotions. However, Kajol is expecting
her second child, which will mean that she will not be part of the promotional
campaign.
Which is why Kareena has taken upon
herself to promote the movie-in her absence- and she has already allotted a
chunk of her dates for the same. Siddharth Malhotra, the director said, “The
film is definitely releasing on Eid. It is everybody’s film and the entire cast
will be available whenever they can. But it would be too much if we expect
Kajol to travel everywhere”.
Kajol is not the one to be left
behind, Kajol has decided to pre-record as many interviews as possible which
will be used later. Karan says, “Kajol, Kareena and I had a ball doing the
stuff for We are Family. We were all very careful about Kajol’s condition.
Kajol too was very careful about what she could and couldn’t do. To expect her
to plunge into the film’s publicity just before its release would’ve been
impractical and unreal. September 10 - when the film releases - is too close to
her delivery day.”
Kareena Kapoor is a huge
fan of Kajol and the hotty does not aim to keep her admiration under wraps.
Bebo rarely has words of praise for her co-stars, but for Kajol she is going
all out on her bond with her. They are both working together on the set of
“Step Mom”. They are set to be having a blast while working on the movie.
The are also making similar
decision. Sources said, “ Not only do they chat like magpies during the
shooting, they’re also sharing the most jokes”. Their new found friendship is
giving the director Siddharth some sleepless nights. Wonder why? Well, both the
ladies jointly yet secretly decide to miss shoots.
Source said, “Siddharth
wanted April 20 to shoot a very important scene in his film. He is under
pressure because he has to lock his final shoot and get into postproduction.
However, April 20 happens to be Kajol’s daughter Nysa’s 7th birthday and it
also happens to be Kareena’s mother, Babita’s 63rd birthday. Both the heroines
have elaborate birthday celebration plans for their kin. And have therefore
reportedly formed a secret pact not to give Siddharth that date for his
shooting.”
Siddharth Malhotra’s remake of ‘Stepmom’ is being monitored
with acute attention. Cause: a very beautiful Kajol was dancing atop a piano to
Bosco and Ceaser’s energetic steps!!
Kajol was a wee nervous when she saw the energetic moves and
gyrations that she was required to do for the Elvis Presley number ‘Jailhouse
Rock’. Sensing her anxiety, the choreographers had toned down the steps and had
cast aside the twist atop the piano. Arjun Rampal, Kareena Kapoor and Kajol
were part of the song, and a supremely professional Kajol danced atop the piano
and got it right in a couple of takes!
Malhotra said, “Seeing is believing! I wanted to do away with the piano bit
altogether, but Kajol fearlessly went ahead and did it!” Kajol can strike the
right note.
There are
rumors floating around Bollywood’s grape vines that gorgeous Kajol may be
pregnant again. Ajay was always asked in interviews whether they will have a
second child. He never shielded away from it and always said that if destiny
asks for it then it will happen.
The star
couples first born Nysa will be seven on April 20. The couple give their
daughter first priority over anything. Kajol has wrapped up her talkie portions
in Siddharth Malhotra’s Hindi version of StepMom with Kareena Kapoor,
Arjun Rampal and there are discussions that say the shooting will not be
extended.
Kajol’s latest movie “My Name is Khan” has done well. She
is said to have finished her shooting on a Kumar Mangats movie Toonpur ka
Superhero with husband Ajay. Ajay is also wanting to shoot all his near future
movies in and around Mumbai. Ajay was absent from the Filmfare awards because
of his shooting schedule. But Kajol did attend and she was under strict
instructions to return home within half an hour. Kajol, who looked stunning in a red sari and was absolutely
enjoying the antics of her co-star Shah Rukh Khan with Saif Ali Khan. She made
sure that she left the awards ceremony within the time stipulated by her
husband.
SRK's latest "My Name is Khan" has become the most successful Bollywood film in British box office history. The film garnered 887,198.98 pounds (Rs 64.4 million / $1.4 million) in its opening weekend. The movie gained the number 6 ranking on the British box office charts. The movie is running to packed houses in India and in many other international venues.
