Padukone,while interacting with media on Friday on the sidelines of an event in Mumbai to promote her flick,said that the promos have generated a lot of excitement among the people and so,in turn,she hopes that film would be a great success.

Deepika also recounted her numerous rehearsals with Imran Khan as per the demand of the script.

States Deepika,”This holiday has been pending for quite some time. I’ll be out of the country for a fortnight before I start working with Imran Khan on ‘Break Ke Baad’. It’s not easy for me to take my mind off work completely. But when I’m surrounded by friends and family, it helps me to switch off.”

‘I think I have made a friend for life and I think that’s what I cherished the most because he is a wonderful human being and that comes across on screen. We got along really well,’ said Deepika.

‘There is an accident scene, where I need a different kind of make-up and he is trained in it so he told dada (Pradeep Sarkar) that he will do my make-up and he did. Another day where I was doing…not exactly an action sequence, but lot of cable work and all of that, he choreographed the entire act. So I think in every way he was there for me,’ said Deepika.

The movie is set in the mean streets of Mumbai city. It is a love story where Neil Nitin Mukesh plays the character of Nandu, a fighter who pummels his opponents in the ring and Deepika Padukone plays Pinky Palkar, a dancer who is blind but ambitious and dances with roller skates on her feet.

Neil used to be around Deepika, even on his off days. ‘I can confidently say that he has been the most supportive and encouraging co-star, with whom I have worked so far. Even on days when he was not required, he would be there,’ said Deepika.

‘I think he is ready to direct. We keep thinking that he is new, we saw him in three-four films, but I think in terms of experience and his knowledge where cinema is concerned, I think he is technically very sound and he is ready to direct a film,’ said Deepika.

Filmakers approache Siddique to get the rights for the movie’s hindi remake. Siddique will take up the role of the director and writer in the Hindi version after completing the Tamil. Grapevine has it that the Tamil version of the film stars Asin Thottumkal and the South superstar Vijay.

While Salman has already been signed for playing the lead role in the Hindi remake of the flick, Deepika is not sure yet. However, filmmaker Atul Agnihotri added that they were still working on the script, and would begin shooting for the flick on December 6.
