The most anticipated movie of the year is Kites. Now the
music of Kites if out and none other than Hrithik’s uncle Rajesh Roshan is the
mucic maker.
Kites movie album has five songs. The lyrics are written by
Nasir Faraaz and Asif Ali Beg. KK has movingly rendered two songs namely Zindagi
do pal ki and Dil Kyun Yeh Mera. Tum bhi Ho Wahi is another number from Kites
movie which is groovy with slight western influences. Vishal Dadlani , Suraj
Jagan have lent their voices for this number. The song fails to capture
listener’s interest and sadly doesn’t live up to expectations.
Kites, “In the Sky” is another song to look out for in this
album. Though the song alternates between Spanish and English, it has a calming
effect on the nerves. The starting two lines of the song remind one of John
Lennon’s melodious numbers “Imagine”. The English lines in the song have been
sung by Hrithik Roshan which is the surprise part and he does full justice to
the song. Considering that he is not a professional singer, his efforts are
highly commendable. Hrithik has only sung for 45 seconds in the song but it’s
his voice all the way that catches attention.
Fire track from Kites bollywood movie is sure to set ones
feet tapping. It sounds a typical dance number with techno beats and sound
effects. The number is fast paced and energetic. It takes ages for the lyrics
to arrive in this four and a half minute number. Likes of Rajesh Roshan ,
Vishal Dadlani ,Anirudh Bhola , Anushka Manchanda have pitched in their voices
towards this number.
Rakesh Roshan said, “The songs are soft and melodious to
suit the romantic flavor of the film. We recorded two songs after they were
shot, which was quite challenging; I had not attempted this in 37 years of my
career. But with Rajesh as the guiding force, everything was possible”
