However, that is not it. The South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce (SIFCC), has already boycotted the Bollywood stars attending IIFA awards in Colombo. Asin is also acting in a Tamil film Kavalkaran with Vijay, so the big question is, will they create problems for her too?

Salman Khan voiced his opinion in this matter while speaking in an interview  “If people are in trouble in Sri Lanka, we should not dump them. We are here to entertain them. We won’t be able to go to Kashmir, Afghanistan or Gujarat if this attitude continues.”

Ready was originally planned to be shot in Mauritius. However, the Sri Lankan government impressed Salman Khan and the filmmakers when they rolled out the red carpet smoothly for the IIFA. Besides, the marvelous locales of Sri Lanka also had a striking role in this particular change of mind.

Many Tamil superstars were infuriated over choosing Sri Lanka as the IIFA venue. Asin said, “I respect the feelings of my fans and have not attended the awards function. However, I cannot take any decision regarding the shooting of Ready as it has been decided by the producer. I have signed a contract to shoot for them and I have to abide by that. I have already shown my concern and hope that they think about it.”

The shooting of this untitled Hindi remake is all set to begin in May under the direction of Nishikant Kamath.

“Although Genelia was considered for the remake, they dropped the idea as John had already worked with Genelia in Hook Ya Crook and they wanted a fresh pairing. Asin has already worked with Vipul Shah in London Dreams so they decided to sign her. The film is important for John at this stage of his career as his last three films Ashayein, Hook ya Crook and Abbas Tyrewala’s next film have been put on hold for various reasons,” Sources said.
